A further modification to the original Zeus series, this Mektek modified version adds the capability to carry the traditional weapons load of the type, 3 PPC's. This energy heavy design creates a serious long range threat on the battlefield, and brings the Zeus, which was previously lightly regarded and seldom used back into front line status. Retaining all of the chassis' previous strengths, the addition of 2 extra Energy slots provides a significant increase in offensive potential. The secondary armaments of Ballistic and Missile systems allow it to be successfully deployed in a wide range of operational duties.<ref>[http://trm.mektek.net/zeus.htm MechWarrior4 - Technical Reference Manual]</ref>

The chassis performance is not particularly well suited to close range combat, and the Zeus will more often be seen in second line formations, where it can employ it's devastating firepower from relative safety. It is a well protected chassis, and should be targeted at long range with missiles if possible. This will greatly minimize it's counter-fire potential due to the limited range of it's energy compliment. When configured with 3 PPC's, or other energy heavy configurations, heat is a major concern and sacrifices in speed or armor will likely have been made by the pilot in order to carry additional heat sinks. The Mektek version carries Light Amplification as standard equipment and also carries BAP for long range target aquisition, making it somewhat vulnerable to missile detection and tracking. It's lack of ECM limits it's use in the stealth role.<ref>[http://trm.mektek.net/zeus.htm MechWarrior4 - Technical Reference Manual]</ref>
