|Description=With a wide array of weapons, good armor, [[Jump Jets]], and decent speed, the Shadow Cat is one of the most flexible Mechs in its class.
|Strengths=Quick and agile, the Shadow Cat's Omni slots can give it considerable punch with any weapon type and it is easily customized for a variety of operations. [[BAP]] and [[Jump Jets]] make it an excellent scout, and its one of the few smaller chassis that make an excellent sniper. Tough to hit, and with an excellent turn rate, the Shadow Cat is outstanding as a mech to neutralize small enemy scouts or [[NARC]] / [[Artillery Beacon]] support units, or act in an insurgency role. Its flying stance is unique in that the cockpit slants downward while airborne, this allows it to target enemies almost directly below. Shadow Cats configured with the [[Long Tom]] cannon are able to drop shells directly upon enemy units as they pass overhead and are quite effective in this role, especially in urban environments.<ref>[http://trm.mektek.net/index_mechs.htm MechWarrior4 - Technical Reference Manual]</ref>
|Weaknesses=Despite being an agile target, the legs are vulnerable due to their size and the Shadow Cat's stance, they are easily hit with LBX Autocannon fire, Streak missiles or fast cycling weapons such as small caliber autocannons and pulse lasers. The weapons are efficiently scattered in different locations, and targeting any specific area doesn't severely diminish its moderate offensive capability. Lack of [[ECM]] limits its stealth capabilities in the sniper role, though its use of [[BAP]] coupled with a natural agility provide superior opportunities for even heavy weapons deployment. The left arm and right torso areas are capable of carrying the heaviest weaponry... target these areas first to reduce its potential firepower.
