While a secondary consideration, its energy slots provide valuable versatility and minimize the chassis' reliance on ammunition dependent weapons. Configured with groups of smaller caliber [[autocannon]]s, it can stand off at maximum ranges and deliver massive amounts of ordinance on target. Its slow speed and typical assault Mech agility prevent its rapid redeployment in response to incursions. However, it is a critical and ill-advised tactical error to minimize the deadly capability of this Mech in either long or short range confrontations. Many light irritant and insurgent units have met a quick fate while trying to outmaneuver the Annihilator in close quarters.
